OUR STORY
Petit Lulu is our son Lucas' nickname. We are a husband and wife duo involved in the creation of this delicious, ectasy-inducing, tastebuds-exploding-in-delight (our clients' words!) endeavor. Some may know, Chef Alexandre de Jesus as the former Co-Owner of L'Appart Resto in San Anselmo, CA . He was born and raised in Paris by Portugeuse parents, where he was exposed to cooking and fused both culinary cultures. After stints in kitchens both in Paris, at La Coupole, and on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, he made his way to Portugal and became chef at the world class resort, Villa Vita Parc in Armação de Pera. He came to the Bay Area in 2005. To say he is obsessed with baking and cooking in an understatement. Since Shelter-in-Place here in 2020, his baking reached new heights and so Petit Lulu was launched! It is with great pride, love and joy that we bake these sweet & savory pies and tarts for you and your family.
